Nicknamed ‘Burning Daylight’, Harnish is a decent, hard-working, and honest man. One of the few men to ever make a fortune in Yukon, Canada, his life is comfortable and safe. Inspired by the life of miner Francis Marion Smith, ‘Burning Daylight’ is one of Jack London’s most successful novels.
Jack London (1876–1916) was an American writer and social activist. He grew up in the working class, but his unflinching realism eventually earned him the status of one of the highest-paid authors of his time.
