Butcher's Helper

Gabriel Jennings was riding south when he came to the town of Crooked Creek and decided to spend the night. Mistaken for a gun fighter he was severely beaten by three deputies. Forced to stay in the town while he recovered from the beating, he found himself in a town run by crooked lawmen. Could he, could the town survive.
Born and raised in the east, a university job took him to the mid-west where he worked in academia for forty years. After retirement he began writing novels as a hobby. Most of what he writes is based upon something he dreamed.
