Human sacrifice; sea monsters, starvation, cruelty and cannibals await the crew of the Sinka Maria, as the intrepid explorer Chris Clotbo sets sail for the Americas, in search of fame, fortune and the fabled gold of El Dorado. On board is Bottella - evil servant of the Spanish Inquisition, whose mission is to convert the natives regardless of the cost to life and limb. Arriving in paradise the Spanish are astonished to find lush and verdant cities which glitter like jewels; resplendent in temples and magnificent in their beauty and design. The Spanish are horrified to discover the natives have the latest in technology and mod cons which make them seem as if they, the Spanish, have just emerged from the Stone Age. Enraged, the Spanish set out to destroy what they don't understand. The Spanish attack with much slaughter. Wasakaka, the native king, is holed up with the survivors in his fortress. A deal is struck and the Spanish are taken to the legendary city of El Dorado. Outsmarted by the natives, Clotbo returns in disgrace to Spain to await his fate and a surprise.
