With it's self-conscious editing and con stant references and mistypings of MI7 instead of CI7 one can't help think there has been a redacted cover up in the story to hide what actually happened in the story. And as the writer puts it 'This is deliberate. It is what some people call redaction. To change texts to suit others narrators or later narrators ends.' In fiction it is used as a metatext to make the reader think maybe not all is what it seems...
