Arnold Henry Savage Landor (1865-1925) abandoned art for adventurous expeditions that took him across Asia, the Middle East and South America. This 1895 work, attractively illustrated by the author, is an absorbing account of the geography, people and culture of Korea, demonstrating an understanding not found in earlier accounts.
