Cornelia, Die Mutter Der Grachen

Published in 1755, 'Cornelia, Mutter der Gracchen' is a tragedy by the German writer Luise Adelgunde Victorie Gottsched. The play tells the story of Cornelia, the mother of Roman politicians Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus, and her struggles to uphold her principles in a world of political corruption and greed. This edition includes a translation into French by Marie Anne Barbier.
