She published her first book A Healthy Balance: In Life and In the Kitchen in 2021. After losing her dad to depression, Shannon has devoted much of her time to raising awareness about mental health issues and trying to help eliminate the stigma. This book is just another way of helping anyone who struggles with their mental health. Shannon is married to her husband Brad, and together they have four kids.
