Pat Gent was a loner - or so the Prison Officers thought.

Following the death of Pat's mate (whose daughter, Mary, is the woman Pat loves) at the hands of a brutal Prison Officer, Pat has just two aims: the first, to wreak revenge on the Officer responsible in any way he can, and the second, to fulfil his mate's plan of pulling off the perfect bank heist.

Aim No. 1 is fulfilled when he befriends and confides in three long-term prisoners whose loyalty and skills are just what he needs - on the outside. Helped by Mary and three friends, Pat has a plan that will drastically reduce the time they have to serve.

Aim No. 2 sets the wheels in motion for life changing experiences for all concerned.
