About Dear Juliette
Juliette Dubois is a single 30-year-old B Magazine restaurant critic who shared the love of food with her French mother, Esmée Dubois-but that's about all they shared.
Juliette was born and raised in Boston by her single mother and never met her father, let alone knows who he is.
After Juliette receives the horrible news at her 30th birthday party that her mother unexpectedly died, she goes to Paris with her best friend and confidant, roommate, and coworker, Genevieve, for her mother's memorial service and unravels a life she never knew her mother was living-including her mother's secret boyfriend, Leo, and gets closer to the truth about her father. Juliette is intrigued to stay in Paris to find out more about her late mother, after she is given a letter by her mother's estate attorney that was written by Esmée on her deathbed. The letter divulges secrets she doesn't know how to navigate and raises even more questions.
After making the decision to take a leave of absence from work and stay in Paris in the hopes she learns more about her past, Juliette meets Pierre, who helps her traverse the present. Through the power of grief, love, friendship, curiosity, and wanderlust, Juliette realizes sometimes getting lost on an unknown path still lands you on the one you were meant to find.
