Desert during the Day of the Dead

Maria feels a strong affinity to her grandmother, who lives in a remote house in the desert of New Mexico. After her grandmother's death, she decides to take time off to connect with her heritage. She celebrates Day of the Dead after discovering a painting of her grandmother in a Day of the Dead mask. Maria leaves a meal out for the deceased but something else eats the offering. There is something hidden and dark in the desert and it wants Maria.
