Dew Drops and Honeycomb

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. --Psalm 133:3 kjv Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. --Proverbs 16:24 kjvJust as the dew drops bring refreshing to the plants and the ground they fall upon, nourishing it with water, so the Word of God refreshes our souls. Honeycomb is sweet to the taste, satisfying, and it also brings nourishment to God's creatures. The Word of God does both for us, and if it is shared via a poem or song lyric, it can have a strong effect. The psalmist David expressed his deep love for God through his many songs we read in the Bible. So, whether the message of God's great love for us is related through His written Word, the lyrics of a song or hymn, or the beauty of a poem, the goal is the same--to share the love of the heavenly Father that has touched our hearts. My prayer is that as you read the poems and lyrics within this book, you will feel His loving touch in your heart and on your life.
