On being told that her estranged mother has killed herself and her severely disabled young son, Eden Radley heads to Cleveland, Ohio, in search of answers. She discovers there was so much she didn't know about her mother and her troubled, enigmatic stepfather, Flynn. But of one thing Eden is increasingly certain: her mother's death was no suicide.
