Doug the Cat Finds His Purr

Doug the Cat is big and fluffy and lives in the top left-hand cage of the Meow Motel Cattery. He can't remember how long he has lived there, but he knows it is a very, very long time.
Doug can look out the window but he can't go outside and put his paws in the grass. He can see other cats and their humans looking after them. Doug dreams he can have a human of his own one day, and he knows that would make him purr with happiness. But for now, he just can't find his purr.
Then one day a lady called Carlotta Crazyhair comes to visit.
