About DRANCY - Journey's End

Recently extended edition. Original drawings, some original and recent photos. "Drancy" - over 72,000 words, The true story is based on the account of a fourteen-year-old British schoolboy who became a prisoner within a notorious concentration camp. This is a true story of a 14-year-old boy from England who lied about his age to fulfil his childhood dream, to see the world. This story starts from the day he left Liverpool at just over fourteen years old some three years before World War II. The account takes you from the first day he steps on board the SS Division through to his time in Drancy and eventual return home after the war. The story describes, but not in gruesome detail, the inhuman horrors of Drancy concentration camp that were kept hidden. The book also covers the fears he had, his hopes and dreams all dashed and then a final battle in 1993 with a British tribunal that refused to accept Drancy as a concentration camp even though Germany and Israel recognised it as such. Others around the world deny Drancy was a concentration camp the holocaust deniers being at the top of the list, referring to it as just a 'transit' camp. The following statement is in the 1993 tribunal transcript (copy in the book), quote, 'under the legal definition that we apply in the United Kingdom, we do not accept that Drancy was a concentration camp', unquote! This goes against all the evidence from Israel, Germany and the USA The only record the Liverpool Maritime Museum has is that Thomas Roscoe was sent to one P.O.W. camp, Milag-Nord. They had no idea that other camps were involved. They were shocked to see the tribunal transcript about the Drancy concentration camp that Thomas was in. A Film Treatment is available to legitimate film production companies.
