The journey of a man through the 20th century from his abandonment at birth in 1921, death of his adoptive mother, leaving school at 14, training with the RASC and Parachute Regiment and the horrors of being sent to the battle of Arnhem in 1944 and subsequent months at Stalag POW camp and concluding with the struggle to build a business post-war and trace his natural parents after more than 40 years apart.
