The story builds from the true love of Sunflower, to friendships with Xander and Kanenas, to the toxic relationships of Kohol and Nico, all underscored by the terrifying pursuit of Skotadi and his army of Cicadas. In this story of loss and rebirth we meet the friends, lovers, ex-lovers, and enemies of Lord Helios, all of whom contribute to his endurance and ultimate triumph.
