Henry More (1614-1687) the English poet and philosopher of religion was the best known of the Cambridge Platonists. He wrote entensively on the Cabala and in these pieces appended to his 'Metaphysical Essay' of 1748, he explores the Cabbalistic ideas of the Mercava, or chariot mysticism.
