Film, Religion and Activist Citizens

Films from Saudi Arabia, the Balkans, Russia and South Korea are used in this book to illustrate the links between performative utterance, created scenes and acts. In doing this the author poses the question of whether citizens are stepping out of dominant cultural ideologies to overcome social, ethnic, religious and economic divisions.
