Dr Sopwith Jones - aeronautical engineer extraordinary - falls foul of a corrupt government minister when he invents the first solar-powered aircraft. Forced to flee South Africa, he rendezvous with a British aircraft carrier and meets the love of his life, Lt. Ali Murray, a dashing fighter pilot.
