In the wake of tragedy, Mercedes Stanton is uprooted from her family's cherished Oklahoma farm, which has been passed down since the land rush of 1889. Heartbroken by the loss of her parents, she is forced to sell the land, wrestling with guilt over her newfound wealth - money stained by grief.
