About Forsythia's Ride
Like many twenty-somethings, Forsythia Shea sought her fortune in Manhattan. With visions of success and luxury, she jettisoned her tedious post-grad New Hampshire lifestyle in exchange for life on the Upper West Side. Still wrestling with the visions of witnessing her father's suicide, her own life is in disarray. Her dad died by his own hand as an aging IRA operative with a secret. A secret that ultimately lead to a violent, bloody suicide in Fory's presence. After a usual night of heavy drinking, Forsythia finds herself at her best friend's doorstep begging for help after she stole her boss' briefcase out of frustration. In fear of prosecution, she begs her aging aunt to take her in. Fory doesn't know this eccentric aunt was an operative for the IRA, wielding power behind the scenes, but her hold is eroding with each change in the Cape Cod tide. Making this woman a very dangerous creature. Fory flees Manhattan, only to find herself in a world her dad fought hard to keep his kid safe from. She's introduced to a young female operative whose adopted father also has IRA ties from operations in Boston going back several years. And he's taught his young girl well.
