Funeral in the Rain

Chloe and Ness make a new friend. So naturally they get caught up in secret plots involving atomic weapons and Cabinet secretaries.
They're still breaking codes, but these codes are coming from a cult. Or is the cult a front? And is it a front for some airhead drug users, or a foreign intelligence service?

"Maggie, I hope you're sane, 'cause I really like you." Chloe smiled.
"You're brave, Chloe. You know how few people would say something like that?"

"She was taken because her parents can build bombs.
She'll have seconds to tell where she is, but you're the
only ones who'll understand it."

Willie gave Maggie a knife.
"It's sharp. It's the sharpest thing you've ever handled. If you get clumsy, you can lose fingers,or cut an artery."

"What makes it so sharp?"
"I do." Willie never blinked.

Ness nodded, "The good news is, she works at a coffee house.
There's no such thing as too much coffee!"
