Lorna Shadow, Helen, and Flipper arrive at their jobs with the newly made millionaire, Alex Hudson. Lorna quickly realizes she'll need to play surrogate mother as well as personal assistant to her young, brilliant, yet muddled new employer, who prefers playing computer games rather than growing a business empire.

She can handle that. And there shouldn't be any ghosts lurking in their new, state-of-the-art home. It's a pity her hopes of a good old-fashioned bit of admin are shattered when the ghost of Alex's best friend, Greg, appears. And when the unusual manner of his death emerges - being shot in the back by an armed drone - Lorna's curiosity is raised.

And with the ghost refusing to leave, she begins her investigation. Was this a tragic accident or is there a murderer on the loose? As Lorna learns more about the family and the business, dark motives for murder emerge, and it becomes clear a lot of people wanted Greg dead. And that's just wrong.
