Michael Beebe is a refreshing addition to the small club of contemporary poets who are infused with the traditions of philosophy. Beebe's stoic attitude and disarmingly vulnerable honesty make a distinctive and addictive mix, and they speak of male vulnerability in ways that are not often heard. These are poems worth taking in slowly, and repeatedly.
