In book 2 of this YA/NA coming-of-age series, Matt's emotional journey continues in a new town, where he struggles with the pain of his past, forges new friendships, and resurrects lost dreams.
Matt only wanted two things: to play in a band and to date Taryn McIntyre, a girl he's had a crush on since eighth grade. Now, both dreams have been shattered, and he's forced to move to a new town and enroll in his third high school in less than two years. He struggles with bitterness and the consequences of his past, until an unexpected friendship reawakens his dreams.
As he graduates high school and reforms his band, he's forced to deal with his past and his mother's abandonment. Old wounds threaten to tear apart the band and permanently destroy any hope of being with Taryn.
