History of Mr. Polly

Herbert George Wells (1866-1946), known by his pen name H. G. Wells, was an English author, best known for his work in the science fiction genre. He was an outspoken socialist and a pacifist; his later works becoming increasingly political and didactic. "The History of Mr Polly" covered lower middle class life.
