So why do some people become alcoholics and others don't?

Why did the craving for alcohol get worse over time? Written after my first book " Living With and Without an Alcoholic Husband" and not being able to find him appropriate help I wrote this second book. Excellent websites and books are discussed which offer personal health plans with a high success rate. The damage done to the brain and body by the alcohol must be repaired. If in sober times the drinker is able to see that others have become well without struggling to stay sober each day, he will be encouraged. It will not happen overnight but the seed will have been sewn. The alcoholic must want to help himself and all we can do is offer proven alternative solutions that have a good success rate as one type of treatment can never fit all.
