I Am Responsible

Murdock “Doc” Gibbs calls I AM RESPONSIBLE a book of “contagious introspection” -- a book written and illustrated to gently obliterate one of the greatest impediments to personal achievement: the self-deceiving excuse of not accepting personal responsibility for your life. I AM RESPONSIBLE is an appeal to “get real”, to think about where you are, where you want to go, admit your shortcomings, evaluate your strengths, and take honest, positive steps toward accomplishing your goals.
As the narrator takes a stand to reject this poisonous success-stealer, he commits to align himself with positive choices that put him on the road to success. Constantly blaming others for our failures is an easy way out, allowing us to wallow in a pernicious cycle of excusing ourselves, deceiving ourselves, and depriving ourselves of a richer and more rewarding life.
