He showed exceptional musical talent and had a beautiful voice and was noted for his exquisite veena playing. He became absorbed in spirituality and read sacred books with great devotion and composed masnavi poems, translated in this book. During his spiritual searchings he met Mohammed Abu Hashim Madani, a Sufi Master and spent the next four years absorbing the heart and soul of his teaching.
