Julie continues to develop her gift of dreams to counteract division and hate in her high school and community that festers after a changeling takes over the body of an influential history teacher. Julie, her magical mentors and her fairies must banish him so that he can no longer continue his spreading bigotry and discontent. Deeply involved in Best Buddies, a club that includes her special education friends in regular high school activities, Julie shows her classmates how important it is to celebrate all people and their differences. When racism, ableism and intolerance encroaches at her school, Julie needs the knowledge of very powerful friends to balance karma once again. In doing so, Julie finds her own powers are growing as the High Priestess and the King empower her to extend justice fairly. Adan, Julie's boyfriend, helps her in the fight to convince their school to appreciate that with inclusion of all people, with their differences and talents, the world is a better place. They share friendship, respect and passion, and they hope it's enough to weather the storms that being magic brings. Their young love blooms in the process, but Adan's graduation is getting closer, and he knows he'll have to leave her on her own to finish her senior year. Believe. Fairies and magic are real.
