About Inside Luisa´s Chest

Luisa Lopez's life fit inside a wooden chest. One day during the years of the Second Spanish Republic she made the decision to leave Gran Tarajal, and she never looked back. She was intent on starting a new life for herself and escaping the arranged marriage imposed on her by her own father. Leaving behind the Canary Islands where she had been raised, she focused on finding a way of making a living for herself on the other side of the Atlantic, in Cuba. Once on board the Rodney Star, she met the Westerling family. Little could she have imagined the extent to which their lives would be forever intertwined.>About the writer: Born in 1984, Yara Medina/Jane Hormuth (pseudonyms which this young writer uses depending on the theme of each book) grew up on the island of Gran Canaria.
