INVITRO ANTICANCER ACTIVITY AND COSMETIC POTENTIAL OF FISH COLLAGEN

About INVITRO ANTICANCER ACTIVITY AND COSMETIC POTENTIAL OF FISH COLLAGEN

As a result, when quantification was done, the collagen extracted from Tilapia exhibited a high concentration of protein. In order to be identified as collagen, it displayed the distinctive functional groups that are required. Salmonella, Staphylococcus, pseudomonas, and E. coli were among the microorganisms it had antibacterial effectiveness against. Compared to collagen derived from Catla, it demonstrated significantly superior antioxidant and anti- inflammatory effects. Therefore, I draw the conclusion from the study that collagen extracted from Tilapia has far more potential for aesthetic use than collagen collected from Catla. With reference to the anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancerous properties observed in this study and wound healing properties stated by the literatures we could suggest the collagen extracted could have cosmetic potential too. Thus, this study concludes the invitro anti- cancerous and cosmetic potential of the fish collagen.
