According to Box Office Mojo, the film made a total of $404,980,543 globally on a $170,000,000 budget, making it more successful abroad than it did domestically. He won multiple awards for "Titanic," including "Best Director," "Best Film Editing," and "Best Picture" from the Academy Awards. In 1998, he was also awarded a Golden Globe for the movie. In 2010, he was named the number one on the Guardian Film Power 100 list and was listed in the British magazine New Statesman as one of the "50 Most Influential People in the World."
