The story is not intended to be disrespectful to ideas and beliefs about any religion. Perhaps it will be a catalyst to encourage readers to think about the information we have inherited and applying contemporary reasoning to it. Joseph's Letter is based on a real story and, of course, the history of the Shroud is a mystery for anyone to solve.
