Kumotoko

- Jack's Curse

About Kumotoko

Jaxon Brown (Jack) a simple man in his mid-twenties sets out for a vacation only to be intercepted by an unknown force (The Kumotoko) a cursed creature half man half spider. He tests Jack's might with a series of strange events. These are events that Jack could easily dismiss as an overactive imagination. The moonless sky, the absence of crickets chirping, and the lack of the blowing wind add to his fears. Jack chases his thoughts and wishes that he had never started his infamous trip. He has an older watch without a glow-in-the-dark face, and his pager is at home, now he has no way to track the time-feelings of despair well up in his chest. Why has no traffic approached? Just as he begins to walk freckles of light break the darkness, then a brilliant flash of light followed by the heaviest rain he has seen all summer. Jack's Fatigue wins out in the end. His dreams take him to a place but where a hospital, yes. But why? His dad is there with a strange request. Jack's father is mad because Jack won't give in. A pulsating noise causes him to feel ill. Jack awakens to a frightful sight.
