About Lofoten Climbs
Lofoten is a magical area; towering granite peaks rise above deep blue fjords, with tiny wooden fishing villages squeezed between the mountains and the oceans.
The extensive climbing is on magnificent granite cliffs and the vast majority of it is traditionally protected. There is also superb hiking, mountaineering (summer and winter) as well as skiing.
This will be the third Rockfax guidebook to this spectacular and beautiful area, the first 2008 volume won the Banff Guidebook of the Year Award and put Lofoten very much on the map. We updated and expanded the information in 2017. This book adds a couple of new areas and a lot of new crag photographs, plus some fantastic new maps. The coverage has been added to with some new accessible crags near Narvik.
