Long Field Hollow

Marilyn McVicker's fourth book, Long Field Hollow, contains twenty-four poems.
It is a love story to a rural mountain location that provides both challenge and triumph.
At the recommendation of her physician, she retired due to a disabling medical condition, and moved from the city, to a remote, fifty-acre pristine cove within the boundaries of the Pisgah National Forest.
This is a story of nature and neighbors. Of trees, coyotes, wildflowers and birds. Of deer and insects. Of gardening, cows, drinking tea on the front porch. Of full moons in a truly dark sky. Of hiking, quilting, and building. Of hard work and disappointment. Of fear, praise and beauty. Of solitude and enchantment.
