Lucy the Lake Dog

Lucy is a curious chocolate Labrador retriever who lives at a house on the lake with her family. She loves everything about the lake, including swimming with the fish, chasing blue herons, watching sailboats race by, and watching the clouds make funny shapes. If she had her way, she would run around free at her leisure every day, but her family has asked her to stay close to them. As she impatiently waits for her family to take her down to the lake, she dreams of all the things she would do if she had complete freedom without them but eventually learns that her family knows best about her well-being and doing what they tell her to do makes her happiest in the end.
