Marcy understands clay. She knows how to turn a lump of dirt into a useful item or a beautiful piece of art. What she doesn't know is how to fix her life which starts to spiral out of control when Ryan, a childhood chum, returns after a long absence. Falling in love with Ryan, who seems to want only a platonic relationship, creates an ever-widening chasm in their friendship. Family pressures and betrayal by her best friend add to her turmoil.
