Maxi Paton Goes For A Ride is the second book in this series about a little black Labrador puppy with a white star who has been saved by Tom, a garbage man. Tom takes Maxi with him in his big garbage truck on lots of adventures. Along the way they meet up with lots of different people and Maxi starts to learn about farm life. On this adventure Maxi meets Bill, a shearer and he learns about where wool comes from and what it can be made into.
