Mcguffey Third Reader

Published in 1839, this book is one of a series of textbooks written by William Holmes McGuffey, a prominent educator and Presbyterian minister. The McGuffey Readers, as they came to be known, were widely used in American schools and are credited with instilling Christian values and patriotism in generations of American students. This Third Reader is designed for students in grades four through six and includes a range of classic stories, poems, and essays.
