Murder at the Club

Detective Gordon Muldrew is called to the prestigious Wanderers' Club in NYC because of a murder just inside the doors to the club. "The girl, they decided, was about twenty-four. She was beautiful, but with a beauty soiled and hardened by a make-up carefully but too liberally applied. Her clothes were expensive and becoming, and her hands were soft and white, with well-manicured nails."
