Traditions say that in May 1637, a force of English colonists and Native allies marched undected across southern New England and surprised the Pequot village of Mystic. They trapped and killed 300-700 men, women and children. Through exaustive research from journals of the participants this book provides evidence that it never happened and it was the Pequots who were the victors.
