Mythology and Folklore

- The Possible Drug-Related Origins

About Mythology and Folklore

Mythology and Folklore go hand-in-hand in many ways, but the same can arguably be said with the connection to psychedelic drugs. Many theories have gained momentum throughout the years, with some of the more widely accepted ones focusing on the origins of Christmas or even witchcraft. But just how true are these theories, and what drugs may have played a role? Several famous ethnobotanists and ethnomycologists have argued that Amanita muscaria mushrooms played a significant role - and likely rightfully so. So with this book, I highlight many of these possible theories surrounding folklore and mythology, and their possible drug-related origins. I will cover nearly everything that you can think of, including; Gnomes, Dwarves, Elves, Santa Claus, Christmas, Fairies, Leprechauns, Aliens, Ghosts, Grim Reaper, Witches, Wizards, Jesters, Jokers, Clowns, Viking Berserkers, God of Thunder, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Alice in Wonderland, Seahorses, Unicorns, Mermaids and more. I will also be covering many of the different psychedelic drugs that may have been used, such as; Amanita muscaria mushrooms, opioids, black henbane, Egyptian Lotus, Sarpa Salpa and more. I will be using mostly vintage illustrations along the way, to help better highlight the talking points. So with that being said, let's begin.
