Never Die On A Cold Night IV

- The Conclusion

About Never Die On A Cold Night IV

In Chicago's 3rd district police department sat a famished detective David Neal of the narcotics division. He hadn't eaten all day. Finally, after going through all of the particulars of a gang-related murder, he could sit down at his desk and eat his first meal of the day. As he sat there, a guy in a very expensive-looking brown double-breasted suit was being escorted by the desk Sargent from downstairs, and they were coming towards him. David also saw he had very high-end dressed shoes and looked like they were of the alligator type. As he checked out the guy, he wondered why hadn't he gotten a sense of who the guy was. Maybe it was because he was starving, he could have eaten a bear, and maybe that caused a block of his special senses. Ever since he'd learned, not only was all he'd dreamed while on the stake-out that day while lying on the cold hard ground wasn't real, but the stake-out and everything after it was a dream. The hospital stay was a dream-he'd never fallen and hit his head. Going home from the hospital with Sadie was also a part of the same dream. Everything was a dream except the psychic episodes-they were all real.
