Never Underestimate the Spirit

Never Underestimate the Spirit evolved from a series of weekly memos I sent to my employees, encouraging personal and professional learning and growth. Although I began writing to encourage, motivate, and inspire them, in time it was they who provided a never-ending pool of inspiration to me. To quote Albert Schweitzer: "At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." When we share our stories we are sharing our spirits. A story is a mysterious thing. Often that which seems less significant to the writer is something that is treasured most by the reader. This should serve as a lesson for us all. Share your spirit with others. You never know when your words may rekindle the flame for someone who needs their spirit restored.
