Nisei Linguists

Nisei Linguists, first published in 2006, is a fascinating, well-documented look at the World War II service performed by second-generation Japanese-Americans in World War II. The men, serving as interpreters and translators for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Service, made valuable contributions to the war effort including interrogation of prisoners, translating captured documents, making propaganda broadcasts, and assisting in the Allied occupation of Japan.
