When Halle Hevko starts her freshman year of college she is eighteen, has never kissed a boy, and has her whole life figured out. On an assignment for the school paper, she meets Reed, a charming soccer player, and the two of them have a spark neither of them can deny. With a hot boyfriend and fun friends to go out with, Halle is finally starting to feel like she's found her place.

Until Reed breaks up with her.

About to start her sophomore year of college, all Halle can think about is how her life crashed and burned after her break up and what she can do to pick up the pieces and start over:

Her plan is quickly forgotten when Reed sits next to her on the first day of class like nothing's changed, like he's still the same kind and charismatic guy she met last year. Like he never broke her heart with no explanation. As the semester progresses and they grow closer, Halle has to decide if she's willing to let him back into her life and risk being hurt again.
