There are a million and a half reasons why I've kept my hands off the new cook at West Ranch. She's young and sweet and I should keep my big, calloused hands off her. For eight weeks I've been living in hell. Watching her from afar, putting my big cowboy boots in my mouth every time I talked to her. She thinks I hate her and I can't blame her. I've been a jerk. And she's had enough. She might be attracted to me too but she's done waiting for me to make a move. She's no ones doormat and I love that she tells me how it is. The idea of seeing her with anyone else lights a fire under me to make a move. A cowboy my age might be a little rusty but I'm no rodeo clown. This city girl who knows her way around my heart is my forever. I'm ready to settle down this fall because the sound of her sweet voice is my favorite October kind of melody.
