Operation Shattered Ice

The third book in the Andrew Russell series and ripped from today's front pages, Operation Shattered Ice deals with the global race for control of the Arctic and the Earth's supply of rare earth metals (REMs).
With the Northwest Passage becoming navigable due to climate change, Russia has the advantage over the US and Canada with its formidable fleet of nuclear-powered icebreakers.
At the same time, a competition is underway to secure access to the supply of REMs which are critical as the world's economies look to decarbonize and transition to electric vehicles (EVs).
All of which puts Greenland in the crosshairs. Enter the US Coast Guard and Navy as they play cat and mouse with Russian Akulas and icebreakers.
